2007: FEATHER
Lunga 4,35 m e larga 1,80 m, la barca armata pesa 125 kg ed è quindi facilmente trasportabile: è realizzata interamente in legno che, grazie ai nuovi metodi costruttivi, non richiede particolare manutenzione.
Il guscio è formato da due mezzi scafi in triplo lamellare di mogano, assemblati su una struttura composta da chiglia e ordinate; la coperta è costituita da un sandwich di compensato di mogano e termanto, rivestita con doghe in thuja; le appendici immerse (deriva e timone) sono in legno di cedro e mogano, con profili ad alta efficienza.
Piano velico: l’armo di base è uno sloop con randa portoghese, che si rifà alla tradizione delle passere lussiniane ottocentesche.
Con bompresso e gennaker, ispirati ai 18’ australiani degli anni ’20, sono garantite planate frizzanti e manovre essenziali in massima sicurezza.
Lo sloop è agevolmente convertibile a catboat classico, adatto per tranquille uscite solitarie.
Particolare cura è stata dedicata anche alla ferramenta, disegnata in funzione del piano velico, e realizzata in acciaio inox con dettagli protetti da rinforzi in pelle.
Maneggevole ed equilibrata, “Feather” è un’imbarcazione che, dietro un aspetto rassicurante, nasconde un’anima sportiva: con una brezza leggerissima guizza a 4-5 nodi per un day cruising piacevole, ma in un attimo può trasformarsi in un divertente e performante corsaro.
“Feather” sarà prodotto in serie numerata.
Una barca a misura di mare e di uomo, curata in ogni minimo dettaglio.

2007 : FEATHER
With a length of 4,35 m and breadth of 1,80m and weighing 125kg when fully rigged, the “Feather” is easily transported. It is made entirely of wood and as such, thanks to new construction techniques, it requires no maintenance.
The shell is made of two half hulls in triple mahogany laminate, assembled on a structure of keel and frames. The deck is a sandwich of mahogany plywood and termanto, covered with staves in thuya wood. The hull and rudder are made of cedar wood and mahogany, with highly efficient profiles.
Sail plan. The basic rigging is a sloop with a Portuguese main, restyled following the 19th century ‘passere lussiniane’, a type of small boat that originates from nearby Lussino.
The bowspirit and gennaker, inspiration for which was taken from the Australian 18 footers from the 1920’s, guarantee swift planning and essential manoeuvres in maximum safety.
The sloop is easily converted to the classic catboat, perfectly adapted for lone excursions.
Particular attention has been paid to the hardware that was designed according to the sail plan and built in stainless steel with details protected by leather reinforcements.
Easy to handle and well-balanced, the Feather is a vessel of reassuring forms that hides a sporting spirit. In a light breeze, the boat darts along at a pleasurable pace for day cruising, and within moments can change into an enjoyable and highperformance corsair.
Feather will be produced in a numbered series. A sea- and human-friendly boat that has been designed with loving care and attention, right down to the smallest detail.
